With apologies to my incredibly witty virtual penpal Sgt. Geardo, from whom I stole this idea with pride [sorry, Sarge, but this forum needs a little jolt of freespooling fantasy gunbuying sprees for some added fun]:

Congratulations! You just won the Lottery! Which guns do you buy first?

OK, I'll go first (even though Sgt. Geardo technically already beat me to it):

  • FN M240 Machine Gun MK 48 Mod 1 with Trijicon 6X ACOG;
    Bushmaster 25mm Chain Gun;
    Twin M134 Miniguns [preferably mounted in a helicopter I could also buy];
    Full auto M16 [what can I say -- they're just cool];
    Heckler & Koch MP5K [ditto];
    Heckler & Koch HKG3K [same, but in 7.62mm];
    M1A1 Thompson Submachinegun in .45 ACP;
    Sturmgewehr 44;
    MG 42;
    MP40;
    UZI;
    AK-47;
    FN FAL G Series 7.62 NATO Machinegun [smile, Ullie! :wink: ]; and
    M14 [in honor of my departed Father].
Oh, and since money would be no object, this:

  • Really? I'd prefer the 1928 version. The Cutts Compensator just makes it look mean. :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

Ok if i were to have won the lottery. . .

Colt Sauer in .458 Winchester Magnum. Gotta have something for the safari I'll be taking.

Pair of Seecamp LWS 380. Something for the wife and I to bond over

A Holland and Holland 'Royal' Over and Under in either 12 or 16 guage. Might just purchase both

One or perhaps the pair of Ivory handled Colt .45 previously owned by Gen. George S. Patton.

and finally a backup Sig 556 so I can play and beat to hell and back my current one with a spare in the closet.

My first purchase would be an emigration visa to Switzerland. Then, I think I will buy everything on the preceeding lists. I would normally load up on the black guns, but the Patton pearl handled colts has struck a nerve. I cannot think of anything else cooler.

Maybe the colts and Steve Mcqueen's leather bomber jacket from the great escape...(I'm still on the Swiss theme, sue me).

. . . when asked about those "pearl handles" on a later occasion, General Patton angrily corrected the reporter who asked the question and sharply explained that they were ivory. "Only a New Orleans pimp," Patton snarled, "would carry a pearl-handled gun."

Well my answer to this question is of course, "All of them!" But my actual list goes something like this:

Steyr M357 A1
FN FAL or 2
another 556 or 3
M1 Garand
HK91
AK 47
FNP 45 tactical
SIG 226 SRT in 9mm or 357SIG
a quality, very pretty 1911
HK G36
FN M249 SAW
SIG 550
SIG PE90
M1A
M14
and many more I have to think about :)

A complete restored selection of US service rifles from the Krag through to the M4.

Lots of Dakota Arms and Cooper of Montana Custom bolt action rifles with exotic wood upgrades.

Lots of custom built varmint/target rifles built on Nesika Bay actions.

Couple more custom built sniper rifles.

Definitelty a class 3 selection, supressors as well as select fire stuff.
SBR's
M4
P90
WW2 BAR
MP5/MP5k
MP40
UMP45
HK53
Glock 18
AUG

And another huge gun safe..

I'll take the USS Alabama or the USS North Carolina expressly recommissioned and stocked with provisions and ammuntion especially for my personal pleasure!

Took a personal tour of both of them and they were both totally awesome! :lol:

Can't think of a much better gun platform that these babies!

Actually the 16 inch guns on the Iowa class were longer ranged and somewhat more accurate. :D

Hmmmm....
After I bought my new Ducati Superbike 1198 and fixed up my Buell the way I wanted it I would start with:
MP44
Colt M4
Barrett REC7
FN SCAR 16
FN 45
HK 416
HK 417
MP5
I mean... its not like I have been thinking about it or anything... :wink:

I think I would hire 5 guys to reload as much of my current 9mm, 40 cal, 5.56mm, and .308 loads as possible and just shoot the barrels out of what I have. It would be my jobs to try to destroy these rifles, and when I do, then I would get a Sako TRG 42 in .338 Lapua with a Nightforce NXS 3.5-15 F1 Zerostop, Send a new Sig 556 to Tromex for a 6.8 SPC conversion and top it with a Nightforce DMR optic, and get a west german P220. Get 10 more of this combo and have a random drawing on this forum for them. Then repeat the destruction by use until I am as proficient as possible with them. I'm not greedy, I just want the get really good with my weapons.
The island sounds like a good idea too, but I love mountains too much.

I don't need a lot.

I would want a 7.62 rifle.
Either a POF P308
http://www.pof-usa.com/p308/P-308-20-MR ... R.O.S..htm
or a Knight's SR25
http://www.knightarmco.com/images/sr25.html

For my lady, a toy rifle in .22 like the S&W M&P15-22
http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/ ... sFirearm=Y

Also for her, something a bit more authoritative than her P22 with the same controls; the PK380.

And so I have another gun to feed .380, and a decent BUG, the Kahr P380.

I need a good carry weapon. Kimber makes the CDP and I want it.

The .45 needs a lil buddy and Springfield Armory's EMP in 9mm is dead sexy.

I think that would about do me for gear. The rest on the winnings would be needed to buy ammo.
