So like many here I was offered the accessories package or the $300 dollar check. I know the Sig Store is pretty overpriced but I told the guy if he could give me these 4 things (pelican case, G-Lad, Paddle holster, and spare part kit for the 556) I would take the deal ($590 dollars in accessories). He sent the stuff out within a few days and today I clicked this photo of them all together.

The Pelican case is amazing. The foam is easy to cut. The only complaint I have is the pre-cut design doesn't allow for a scope.

The G-Lad is surprisingly bright, even in broad daylight. I have tested it out to about 25 yards (my shed in the backyard) and it is clearly visible. Not worth what SIG is asking for it but it's a quality laser that can be found cheaper on GunBroker. It comes with a mount and a pressure switch, and one CR123a battery.

The spare parts kit is nice for peace of mind and the paddle holster fits my 226 perfectly. I'd say all this was worth around $300.00 bucks and am pretty happy with the decision.

That's very cool Aubie. I tip my hat to you for coming up with that very creative bargain. I'm sure it was a win-win from Sig's standpoint as well.

I was pretty tempted after I received the email offer as well. I took a leisurely stroll through their 'store' too. I really like the idea of the Pelican case, that will last a lifetime and keep your rifle and accessories looking like new.

The green dot tempted me as well. I recently got the X5L for my XD9 and it is a wonderful accessory! I was amazed at how much more distinct it is in the daylight than a red dot. (I guess I should call them lasers and not dots.) The thing I like most about the lasers are that you can put the weapon down around your waist level and still at the ready. But you won't be shooting from the hip (so to speak), because you know where that muzzle is pointed without a doubt.

I know there are disadvantages too, but as long as you weigh in and make your choice, you reap the advantages.

I could not accept the Sig Store coupon with a clear conscience however, because I already splurged at a gun show after ordering my maching Sig Swat rifles. I got a 2-gun tactical (rifle) bag, a red dot sight for the 522, extra mags for each, ammo, and a couple of holsters for my XD9 with tac light/laser. So I reluctantly chose the rebate check. One for me, one for my bride, ya know? It's really like $$ in the bank.

Enjoy~
