I installed a bayonet lug & pin on this so I could mount the Extrema Ratio Fulcrum Bayonet & Combat Knife onto the P556. I also installed a PE57 style flash hider on the front.

Would love to hear your opinions. Let us know what you think! We're thinking of making this our P556 CGS Custom. I would love to know what other items you'd like to see attached to it.

It strikes me as being a bit mmmm over the top. No offense, but a bayonet on a pistol just doesn't make sense to me. "Cool" factor aside, if I was interested in a pistol version, it would be for the virtues of a short weapon in a higher than 9mm caliber.

In lieu of a bayonet, I'd think a vertical fore grip, laser, or a light might be better. And 'standard' would be a single point sling attachment.

I think it makes a front heavy gun that much more front heavy. To me the reason for even buying the P556 is to either make it an SBR or because you want a shorter version of a 556 so to add a big ole bayonette on there defeats that purpose. I guess to some people it would be "tacti-cool" but I just don't see the appeal.

Honestly, it looks like what we call a "Movie Gun" - made to look uber-cool but not functional in real life.

During bayonet attack when the blade is mounted, one needs a longer stock in order to adequately control the bayonet end of the weapon and gain the thrust and twist necessary. Mounting one on a pistol would seem to make controlling the bayonet attack more difficult than holding the bayonet in your hand or having it on a rifle length weapon.

Someone will buy it, no doubt. But I hope they understand it's limitations in real application.

I could be wrong, but I just don't see that working out well.

I'd lose the bayonet and swap the hand guards out to some 551 HG's and call it "the classic."

It looks like something that Danny Glover or Gary Busey would have used to fight the hunter/killer in Predator 2!!!

It's badass but i'm pretty sure that to hang a sig pistol with a bayo from my shoulder will result in a stab wound to my knee!!!

I do like that blade on the 556 platform!

Looks cool. Did you have to break the bracket off the bayonet and slide it down the handle so that it would work on a pistol? The bayonet wouldn't be too functional removed from the gun with the bracket in the center of the grip. Just my thoughts.
