It’s the Orion Grip.
What is going on with that optic riser? Shooting your gun with the ol' riot face shield? Not that the eye-relief on an ACOG allows such use anyway. I am quite confused by this setup.

Unfortunately, I can’t get a sight picture without pushing my hearing protection up off my ears unless I use a riser.

Now that you say that, I recall you mentioning that in another thread. I am a firm believer in everyone doing their own thing. Whatever works best for you: do it. I find it quite odd that you would opt for a riser that increases both height-over-bore and the overall size of the weapon, solely to enable the use of a particular ear protection. But, if you're crushing it on the range, it doesn't friggen matter. As an actual contribution to the conversation, I'll say that I used to use some quite nice MSA Supreme Pro X muffs. They sit around mostly now. I prefer some regular foam plugs. The sound amplification feature isn't worth the sweaty ears in the summer, and.... the muffs occasionally interfering with the stock. So I know exactly what you mean, and I encourage you to try some different ear protection options, as opposed to optics risers.

At first I was taken back by the price, but then remembered that I'm on the hunt for an HK416 grip, and am willing to pay the going rate. And these are machined aluminum. Maybe I should pick up one of these instead. That is if they were not sold out everywhere. They sure look great. Anyway, thanks.

Which spring are you waiting on? I am wondering what the upgraded spring is?

I ordered some flat wire springs and have an H2 buffer on hand. Now I need to get an H3 buffer to experiment. Once I figure out what the best spring/ buffer combo is I’ll update (and get all of these onto the same set up). My biggest concern is how the light, proprietary buffer from the 17 Designs folding lower will work with the 10.75” wolf upper when it gets back from Wilson Mfg.
