I purchased a Sig 556 holo on sept 9th from Academy Sports and Outdoors. I went with the cheapest model since I planned to upgrade the stock and put my own optic on it. After reading many discussions from this site I learned that most Sigs came with the holosight. So i did a little research and indeed mine should have come with this. After spending hours on the phone with Academy for two days in a row, The response was a polite" thats your problem not ours, you should have made sure it was there" even after explaining the employee that sold me the gun said this was the basic with no sights. I called Sig Sauer after hearing from yall about their customer service, and within 1 minute they simply said were sending one out to ya right now...WOW!! I was shocked at how simple and easy that was. In short I think Sig Sauer has outstanding customer service and they have won my business from now on.

Now if i could only convince them to make a Sig 6.8...

I'm new around here myself....and after I received my Sig556, I had
questions about the Serial numbers and a couple other things.
I e-mailed them...and they responded the next day...every time. And
I was satisfied with their answers....so far...so good...

I'm saying no. My front sight adjustment screw broke on the first outing due to the front sight being frozen in the dovetail and me having too much confidence in sig engineering when my shot groups weren't moving after cranking the adjustment. Well I kept on cranking and snap goes the screw. I called them up that day and at first the guy told me I would have to call the next day to talk to their gunsmith and see if he had the part. Yes, I was going to have to call the gunsmith the next day. Eventually he thought better of it and took my adress, I waited two weeks and called back, it seems that SIG doesn't have these parts and it will be a while before they get them in. They still sell the rifles, don't they? Yet it's been a month since that second call and still no part. I'm not happy that I couldn't get better service for my 13 hundred dollar "to hell and back reliability" rifle. I'll most likely go "to home depot and back", spend $1.30 on a machine bolt and some washers to fix my 1.3K rifle. Nope not happy with the service.
