I just installed one of these yesterday and just wanted to express how rock solid this adapter is. Replaced the classic stock with a Magpul CTR and there is absolutely NO movement at all.

If I already have a stock, what else do I need with the adapter and can I buy everything but the stock that is needed from DD? I would like to go ahead and order, but am thinking that I need a buffer tube as well. Thanks!

Just got mine in the mail today. Was kind of a pain to install the roil pin. It's a quality item though for sure. Rock solid feel and lock up. Way better than anything Sig makes. Thanks DD!

How much LOP does the adapter add?

Curious if a stock like this would work http://store.magpul.com/product/MAG404/181 w/o making the overall LOP too ridiculously long.

I kinda like the idea of a more solid stock option vs. a collapsing stock.

My googling has indicated an A2 stock is 10 5/8" and an A1 is 10" (the new MOE being between the two on OAL).

Just wanted to say how great Jon was at DDLES, his customer service was awesome. I'm very happy with my adapter and Magpul CTR, finally I have a stock that doesn't wobble.

Unless I missed something, does the hinge lock the stock in the open position?
Or do I need a bungee cord for it.
Just saying since you would be changing to a different stock, how would it stay to the side of the rifle.
I do want to get one of these but just wanted to know.Looking to mount the UBR on it.
I thought that it would be nice if it had some kind of cam that would keep it open.

That does suck. They should have made it were it would lock.
You figure that someone would have thought it out first.

Yeah, I ended up pinning mine since the Troy rail has no locking nub on it and my AK has a folder on it if I need that capability.

When you mounted the UBR did you need anything else to mount it correctly?
Or does the UBR just screw in.Not a AR guy. Thanks

Thanks for the heads up.I guess it is still worth it since it lets you put a much nicer stock on it.
Maybe the engineers could figure out something else.Maybe the new and improved version still to come. Are you listening Jon?

Well so much for the weekend thing.Got an email back from Jon and was told these were on back order since Feb 13.
Even worse is there wont be another batch going out for at least 3 more weeks.WTF
So if I am lucky,I might get it in a month from now.Should have went ahead and ordered sooner.
My UBR has been sitting here ready to mate with the 556.Not happy.

Is there a schedule for a delivery to Europe?
I'm waiting since summer 2010 (ordered at www.gunfactory.ch).

Schnibbs, you might want to use the contact form on the website. https://www.shop.doublediamondsupply.com/contactus.sc

Or you can click on Double Diamond LE Supply's profile here and use the EMAIL link to send an email direct to Jon, perhaps he can give you a schedule as they are still "backordered" even for us right now.

Quick question on the adapter (when using it on a Sig 522). Most of the pictures I have seen of a Sig 522 with the adapter and a Magpul PRS stock doesn't seem to have a flush line between the rifle and the Magpul stock. The only two that I have found are in this thread... http://www.ar15.com/mobile/topic.html?b ... 473&page=4, on page 4 and 5 (sorry for linking a thread from another site but that's the only two pictures i've seen of them and I don't want to use there pictures without letting them know). The only time i've seen it flush with the buttstock is in in the lantac webpage (Europe site who I guess have there own version of the adapter). Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Put one on order just yesterday after my lovely Governer tried to push a bill that would make getting "evil assault attachments" impossible. Will post pics when its all installed.
