    Hi guys and gals.
Do you have a 522 but think the forend could be better.
    Then look here.

Here's a threaded barrel nut so you can fit a free float forend.

    Nut.

Now, I recommend a tube style forend like the Hogue one shown. A railed one will fit but the rails probably wont end up the same height.

The nut is turned from steel and is chemical blacked.
These are £50 POSTED which is roughly $80.

I'm working on a web site but it's not ready yet so for a while I will be selling these on eBay.

Thanks for looking and have a nice day.

I am looking at building a 522 'DMR style' rifle and this is exactly what I was looking for as I am intending to eliminate everything from the barrel nut forward and only keeping the bull barrel.

Now you need to produce a foreend that has rails that line up.....

I wonder if you could mount an AR height front sight on a railed free float handguard and have it line up with the diopter.

Very nice, since I highly doubt Sig Sauer will sell their barrel nut for the 522 PM it's great to see someone making and selling these. :)

When I buy my 522 I will probably order one of these too. :)

Nice idea, but WOW! $80 seems steep for a thread adapter, unless the demand is really so low that they are made by hand without CNC.

My guess is that if you made 250 on a screw machine the cost would be $8, though admittedly finding 250 SIG522 owners who want to float the barrel might be a challenge .....

    Hi,

Sorry to bring up an old post.

Do you manufacture a standard barrel nut for the Sig522?

I'm also in the UK and getting parts is pretty tricky, although have not tried contacting Sig direct yet.

    Cheers,

    Chris

Have you discovered a free float rail which will line up with the existing rail. I want to purchase that adapter although I want to keep my existing sites even if I add a scope. I hope someone will answer as I see the last request was never responded too. Just does not make any sense not to have the rails meet up if adding a quad. Thanks!

I just installed this Barrel nut conversion today for around $30 from tacticool22.com along with a standard ar15 10 inch quad rail from ebay. It looks like you can put a front AR15 sight with a small riser. The height is 3/8ths inch lower than the receiver. I posted the photo below. The question is what size riser would fit? How about a gas block height sight or YHM-230 gas block front sight riser?
