DMR shoots pretty good? what range are you hitting with that barrel? 400 meters/yards?

1911 - nuff said, just a mean gun.

Thanks! I'm still working on breaking in the barrel and getting the optics dialed in. I will post again once I've gotten her out to 400+ yards.

Looks great if anything is missing in the pic it’s your favorite 12ga. The grips look great on your pistol.

Sadly no, but I posted that almost 10 years ago. We would just go setup steel plate or old fire extinguishers up the mountainside and shoot for fun. Back before any of us had rangefinders, paper stands, portable shooting benches, or shooting sticks.

Anything I post is going to sound armchair. Suffice it to say; it was a fantastic rifle. One that I miss. It was very fun to shoot and more capable than many other so called DM rifles. I have an AR that I finally like (*after many). It is lighter, perhaps half-again as precise, and was quite a bit less expensive (I paid $1400 and change for the SiG 556 DMR new). However, I prefer shooting the SiG. AR is far better for run n gun, but... something about these heavy rifles that I just always seem to gravitate back to... SkyPup used to say it best; "Happiness is a warm SiG 556." YMMV.
