I just wanted to say that I recently purchased a SIG556 Holo, and yeah the Holo sight was pretty much a joke and the BUIS are pretty lame also. But I threw an EOTech on mine and it is in fact the best operating and shooting semi auto 556 i have put my hands on. I have experienced the colt M4gery and the real Colt M4 and M16, the Bushmaster, LMT, RRA, the ruger Mini 14 and the list goes on and on. I am saying this because there are not enough posts on here praising this bad a** machine. I have put close to 1000 rounds through this weapon and only had one double feed and I think that was because of the Sig mag. I just want people that are looking at this site to know that the Sig is not riddled with issues, (one may make that assumption by reading the many posts). So here is a tall icy cold one in the air to the Sig from me, it is in fact one of my best purchases ever, in line just behind my dog and my truck.

We own a few 556's and we've had two problems with one of them, requiring the entire upper receiver be replaced - but we still like them.

I bought mine, early 2008 and have had only one problem which I was to blame.
I tried to bend my chargeing handle down a little (when I had an Eotech clearance) and it caused a hair-line fracture, eventually causeing it to break-off.
It's been a great rifle.

Sold my Armalite I liked this firearm so well. 600yds no problem with a Burris and LaRue mount. Awesome weapon, great recoil and no annoying thwang when shot.

I have never had an issue with my rifle, it works and shoots great. I put a Magpul stock, SWAT flash hider, Swiss bayonet lug, and SIG diopter on mine. It's one of my favorite 5.56 rifles.

Nothing nut great things to say Ullie answered my questions and we even had a great phone conversation when I was a newbie this gun is awesome and gets looks and questions every time i take it out. Like you I've shot the rest and feel the Sig is the best. Even with the bad BUIS I got a Millet red dot and can bang away at varying distances with no problems. I love this gun.
