Just sayin'.....

And I don't care what the haters say.

This is a badass rifle that shoots better than I can and is 100% reliable with halfway decent ammo. I knew it was heavy when I bought it, so I can't complain about that. Especially when I was comparin' it to AR's. I fondled them both for a while before makin' my decision. The trigger feels much better to me than an AR trigger. The rear popsicle stick sight isn't all that great, but again, I knew that when I bought it, and it really isn't that big of a deal since I use a Trijicon TriPower anway. The folding collapsible stock fits me well and is as good of quality as I would hope for. I just got the 556 SWAT new a few months ago, and I'm not seein' any wear on the bolt carrier after about 800 rounds like others have seen. There are wear marks on the receiver from the brass ejectin', but I think that looks cool because it adds character and shows use.

This rifle performs exactly like I wanted it to. And any small issue that I have with it, I knew before I purchased it. Therefore, it's not a problem. I would buy my SIG 556 SWAT again and I'd recommend it to anyone.

This rifle puts a smile on my face. :D

RCOM4

Don't fret about the rcom4. Replace it with the TA31f. Same dual illumination, hundreds of $$$$ cheaper just doesn't have the horiziontal stadia. I have both the RCO and the TA31F and have found no practical use for the 5 mil stadia on the RCO M4. If I had to do it over I would have bought 2 TA 31F's and saved the money.

Mine has been perfect, can't really complain about it.

Dots, circles, circles with dots, circles with dots and cross hairs........

Been looking for optics for months, My search is over. Never came across a trijicon tripower chevron reticle, until your written love for your 556.

In all seriousness I haven't been able to shoot mine yet. I can field strip her fast, Im sure ill feel the same way. I bought it because it was a Sig based on the kalashnikov action. Im aware of the issues. I know what to look for. When I can shoot her/set the weapon up systematically. Im sure ill be all smiles

Haters hate because they dont know..

Thanks Flea!

I love mine too.I like a rifle that's a bit muzzle-heavy,holds her steady during rapid fire, and makes her swing smoothly.I have an older one with mostly Swiss innards and a collapsible SIG stock. It has Samson rails with Magpul rail covers and an Elcan RD sight.I put a KNS takedown pin in the front pivot hole.No further modifications planned,I like her just fine.I'd take it anywhere and I think it's a sweet rifle.Works every time, doesn't get dirty inside, and puts bullets where I want them.

I love mine too and my M4 is feeling pretty neglected since I brought the 556 home.

The only problem I have now is that I love it so much I have been considering selling off most of my other rifles to buy a 556 SBR, 556 DMR and a 522.

I get so sick of seein' people bash or complain about this rifle, that I felt the need to start a thread talkin' about how much I love mine. It's really nice and refreshin' to see y'all talk about how much you like yours too. If potential buyers discovered this site and read all the negative stuff with less positive reviews, they might not decide to buy the 556. That would sadly be a mistake, because this a great rifle. It's important that people are aware of the causes for concern so they can make an educated decision, but it's just as important for them to know all the great things about it. I did my homework before purchasin' my 556, and I compared it to other rifles in the gun shop. I weighed the good with the bad. I realized that really liked the good a lot, and the bad really wasn't that big of a deal, especially when considerin' the entire package. I believe most people do or will feel the same way. Again, it's nice to see y'all talk about how much you like the 556.

Your welcome! Glad I was able to point you to somethin' different and help you out. I'm really happy with my TriPower. It's very quick to line up, and there's no "hunting around" for the reticle either. Sometimes, a regular red dot can get lost. Not the case with the TriPower.

You're gonna love your rifle. Make sure to give us a range report after you put some rounds through it. :)

Right there with you gentlemen. This rifle is a gem. Shoots like a dream. I took it out last weekend and finally decided to give the irons some work. I have the popsicle rear and hooded front which I had never even used before and was very pleasently surprised. I don't really measure "grouping" per se, but from my results from 100 yards w/ 55 gr PMC, no one would want to be on the other end with the last 20 rounds I shot after dialing in, which didn't take long.

Fun and easy to clean (I keep remembering the baked on carbon in the chamber of my M-16).

I'm not a purist, but I respect those who are. In saying that, I kinda like my fishgill hand guards. They are kind of aggressive looking and fit my hand well. I really didn't care for the look of the classic hand guards on the rifle in the pictures that I saw until I got a gander at "mike8620"'s "transformations". That rifle looks awesome! So maybe I'll try out a pair (and the A1 stock). I understand there is a weight difference as well.

Great rifle.
