I'm thinking of trading for one. Any idea how crazy loud it will be?

I put several mags through it with the pws today. It is awesome! Do use double ear protection though-my range buddies with single ear protection said it was really loud. This thing shoots so flat and follow up shots are way quicker. My pal (a scar owner) said he had little confidence in his abilities with my sbr afterthe last range trip but now feels like he 'could hit anything out there' and described the pws as a must have on the 556 sbr. I agree.

PWS is one of my favorite companies. I had a jtac47 brake and that thing was amazing. But when that fs556 came out, good God that crapped all over the jtac. It seriously performs. I also like the TTO, it's just the shorter version without the prongs. And if you don't like the brake for whatever reason they buy it back. Can't beat that with a bat. Nice collection accomplice!

Accomplice, what did you wrap around your stock?

Also, did you paint your handguards or does MFI sell them in that color? How would you rate their sturdiness? Any play at all in the cap?

I am torn between the MFI setup and the DDLES cap and guards.

Looks good bro!

Thanks. As far as I know, MFI only sells theirs in black. The MFI units are the lightest option available for the 556P/ SBR. The 550 hand guards cut down to length (with holes drilled by DDLES) are the second lightest option. I have read that there is some flex with the MFI hand guards and not as much with the 550s. DDLES sells a cap that is a very perfect/ snug fit for the Swiss 550s cut down. The 550 hand guards can be found in black or OD green.
