3rd Party Barrel

I went through this when I had an AR-18 and wanted an integral suppressor setup. A guy in St. Louis name Pete Fleis was working on the AR-18/180 at the time and could spin up whatever you wanted for a barrel.
This barrel doesn't look much different.
I can't imagine that somone on the ARFCOM boards wouldn't be able to gin up whatever you wanted.

I'm looking at a custom barrel but I'm a nutcase about wanting a chrome lined barrel or readily available replacements.
The factory 1-7" hammer forged barrel is cool for 99.9% of anyone using it and I certainly fit squarely in that category most of the time but I would also like a 1-12" barrel.

This is the URL for the inner frame that has the Sig 551 parts, if you don't know German and can't navigate your way there. I lived in Germany for 11 years so Ich kann genug Deutsch sprechen to get there. ;-)

Try Compass Lake Engineering in Florida. They make some of the top match AR barrels by buying Krieger blanks, then cutting the external profile. They might be willing to program a custom outer profile for a SIG (especially if you can supply the drawings), so a suppressor thread would be integral.

I have purchased from them on many occasions. I used email to contact them indicating what I want and ask for a price in US dollars including shipping to my door.

My first few orders, I paid in money orders. That process took longer than I wished. Rolf suggested Pay Pal. Using Pay Pal, my orders usually arrived in less than a week. If you tell Rolf you want to use Pay Pal, he will email you instructions.

To avoid confusion, I would copy and paste the description of the part from their web site in my email. Using this method, I've never had to return an unwanted part.
