Afternoon gentlemen and ladies.
So I ended up purchasing a Sig swat model a few years and instantly fell in love with it throughout the years, started to get a little heavy on me so I decided to do some upgrades to it, fairly simple upgrades to be honest with you. I was definitely nervous to do what now is a completely easy swap/ modifications and I can’t thank enough to the gentleman that walked me through that I met on this forum @HermCorps. Thank you for walking me through the process step by step. Definitely great guy!! First off I wanted to change the hand guards because the swap model hand guards definitely cut up your hands and they’re pretty heavy so I wanted to save some weight on the front end of the rifle. So I ended up purchasing some sig 551 hand guards that fit about 99% perfect. Then I ended up moving to the rear of the rifle and purchased a Magpul Ubr gen 2 stock for it. After that I ended up going with the MFIap iron sight package, and man I gotta tell you definitely change the feel of the rifle. Gonna post some before and after pictures of the final stage of the rifle. Hope y’all enjoy! Btw I’m in California! None free state haha

Looks Awesome! Great job Davey!!
Nicely done! The 551-A1 / Classic handguards are sweet, and I've always liked the UBR on the original M4 pattern 556 lowers. I bet it feels like it went on a healthy diet, and balances so much better now. Enjoy!
P.S.-- I used to live in Sacramento and the Bay Area. I don't envy your situation when it comes to 2A rights.

@daveygts has def got some good taste! He did a great job at what I'm assuming was his 1st time attacking his own rifle mod's. Especially since he had to deal w/that folding stock made permanently fixed by the commie State of CA. But he got it done. & ur right, his 556 has gotta feel so slim & balanced now that he prolly wants to cuddle w/it! Hahaa...Ik I would! Then again, I'm a certified gun-nut.
In NYS our 2A rights are almost non-existent as well. The only up-side for me is that I happen to live in a County where the local gov't & LE are very pro 2A, putting us at ease a bit if we decide to actually exercise our right, if ya know what I mean. NY & CA are both despicable, but I can tell that having any peace of mind as a constitutional gun owner where he lives must be very hard to come by. It's a shame that constitutional rights can be restricted so easily & openly.
