Yet another Senator saying that we're heading towards the big nasty. I think some of these guys believe that, and some are just whipping this out to get attention.

Inhofe: U.S. headed toward revolution
@ 1:01 pm by Eric Zimmermann

The overreaching of the federal government is pushing the U.S. towards a revolution, Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) said today.

"People are not buying these concepts that are completely foreign to America," Inhofe said at a townhall in Chickasaw, Okla. "We're almost reaching a revolution in this country."

Inhofe has been one of the Senate's most strident opponents of climate legislation and healthcare reform.

Inhofe added that he didn't need to read the full helathcare legislation before deciding to vote against it. Public opinion and news reports, he said, provided all the information he needed.

"I don't have to read it, or know what's in it," Inhofe said. "I'm going to oppose it anyways."

Most of the versions of healthcare legislation making their away through congress are about 1,000 pages long.

The only way there can be any real American recovery is by abandoning the principles of the past which were hell-bent on taking on as much debt as possible. The corporations own the politicians, which in turn own the people through things like bailouts that keep companies alive that should have died out already. The only way to end this insanity is revolution, forcing the abandonment of the old model as greed will never allow politicians to abandon it willingly. That's the only way any real recovery can take place.

I'm reading a book about this now, it's called The Fourth Turning. Interesting piece if you have the time to pick it up.
Couldn't afford to revolt - ammo is too expensive.
Or course I do. I don't think there is any imminent danger, but things can change very quickly, and order will ALWAYS turn to chaos, given enough time. Empires and stable societies will ALWAYS decay, its just the way it is.

Will it happen within my lifetime, who the hell knows, I sure hope not. I know a lot of people (on both sides of the political spectrum) are dissatisfied with the way things are going, and I have heard people mention that maybe before too long we'll be able to do something about it, but I think they fail to realize just how great our system of checks and balances and everything is (even though its a little compromised as of late), and I think very few of them have any freaking clue what fighting in the streets would actually be like.
No the economy is getting better.

Maybe the senator should have his staff read and give him and executive summery of the bill so he at least knows whats going on.
Revolution? Wait............

Ok, I just checked my safe, everything is in good supply, I'm ready.
Revolution? maybe not. but a civil war very well could happen.

And just like the last time, anyone who is arguing for State's Rights and individual liberties is being branded a racist---why is that? They can't say it's because we don't want to give up slaves, this time around, they just say we're racists....

Chris Matthews (ugh) did it yet again today. A Citizen at some public rally commented that she did not see why the first lady needed 26 personal servants and expressed that she didn't think the American taxpayer should be paying for that level of extravagance. Chris Matthews said it sounded like she was upset that the first lady was black and that this was racist.

It's an attempt to silence criticism of this idiot or to divert attention away from his litany of failures and socialism. And it's losing it's power to do that because the more people like Matthews call any critic of the potus a racist, the more people are realizing that it isn't racism, it's criticism of his actions and policies.

I say let them cry racism all they want. The more they call legitimate criticism 'racist', the more they weaken that b.s. claim and damage their own reputation in the public eye.
Chris Matthews lost all of his credibility when his started feeling that tingling sensation in run down his leg whenever he heard Obama speak or saw a picture of him. I think he has a man crush.

I didn't give him any credibility prior to that (and I doubt you did either :) ), but that statement certainly let a lot of America see just how retarded and "in the tank" that guy is...
IMHO...Inflation, devalue of the dollar, corrupt government, foreign interest and investments in the US have exploded, national debt, a government pushing for socialization, a slow erosion of our freedoms, the moral and ethical fabric being torn to shreds. Hell yes....it's coming and God help our children.
