Hey Zeus, why couldn't you find a different gun but still the same message ? Then I wouldn't have a problem with it (9mm). I can not stand berrettas, every one I tried to shoot jammed at least 2 or 3 times. Every person I know that has one absolutely loves them, loves the way they feel, and the way they look. But they say it not the gun they would stake their life on. Can't they make a musket in 9mm? If so then I would take that, or even a hi point ;-). Yep, that is my opinion. Just to clarify: I like shooting 9mm, they are fun, and shot placement is more important that not hitting at all with a bigger round.

Yeah I was focusing on the 9mm thing. When I go 45 it will be a FNP 45. I know the 1911 is a proven design and classic american and blah blah blah. All I know is they don't feel that great in MY hand and why carry 8 when you can carry 15. I am not that overconfident that I will hit every shot with a high recoil round in time or that I won't need more for his buddy or two behind him. Criminals don't come in singles. I wan't as much ammo as I can handle effectively. 1911 is a very pretty gun, also overpriced because of popularity and ability to tinker and accessorize, much like the AR IMHO.

I reread what I posted, I added a laughing guy since my comments appeared prickish when it supposed to be in a joking manner. So you like the FNP45? How do you like it, and why. Been curious about them.

Very accurate and I don't shoot 45 often. Not as big in the hand as you might think (unless you have girl hands). 14+1 in the pipe, what else is there to say about that? You get 3 mags with the gun and they seem to function flawlessly. Sights are OK. On par with Glock etc. Nice crisp trigger and recoil seems to be very controllable, kind of more back that up. Grip texture is very good, sweaty hands, no problemo. Multiple back straps are nice. Seems to feed anything. I have put hundreds of rounds through my friends, that's why I want one badly. FN is a good quality manufacturer from my experience. Fit and finnish is very nice. Controls seem well placed for my grip. Ejection doesn't hit you in the face. That's about it. :)
