I got a pretty decent deal on one of these ($1,584 shipped) today and it should be here next week. When you look at what it costs to find a piston driven 5.56 long gun with a swappable charging handle, folding stock, sights, etc. this gun still holds up. Only the ARX100 is cheaper?

I also have a custom 556xi swat model. I like it even more than I thought I would. The extra weight savings goes a long way, and it still has that classic recoil impulse I love. I've owned an older swat patrol model, and the recoil impulse was not the same. I was pleasantly surprised with the xi... I think you'll be very happy. I... just wish someone made aftermarket charging handles for the xi.

Somebody just snagged a non-swat 556xi rifle for $1,299 on gunbroker (maybe less through the ‘take a shot’ thing). It wasn’t me but that is a great deal.
