My 556 is my go to gun but that's because my other firearm is a pistol for now.
There is just one thing that bugs me about the rifle and that is if the chamber is open or locked back and is then bumped say you set it down stock on ground barrel up it closes on it's own. Now if you have a loaded mag in place the firearm is now loaded or worse if your finger was in there because you were addressing some sort or grabbed it wrong bam you have a different issue.
But other than that I think it's a great go to weapon.
