$300 Rebate on 556 Rifles

Sig Sauer has asked that I post this on the forum. This is a sort of SHOT Show special for retail customers. Buy any new 556 rifle (pistol excluded) from dealer stock between now and March 8th, 2010 and get a $300 rebate from Sig Sauer. This is $300 off the best price your dealer will give you! I can't think of a way to get a new 556 rifle for less.

You can read more about it here and download the rebate form. http://www.sigsauer.com/CustomerService/556rebate.aspx

That's a damn good deal! Wish they would've had that promotion a few months ago when I got mine.
Just bought a Sig 556 10 days ago. Sending it in tonight. Hopefully Sig will honor the rebate (didn't see a start date, just an end date)
My Classic will be at the FFL today will have my wife send in the form this is a great deal.

Same here, but I just bought another one last month as well...

Is this "now" as in January 19th until March 8th?
Did not see a start date however is said for 45 days only. By the calender that is from Jan 22 but the website says from now until March 8.
Who knows, will try it and see.

Just looked again can see no start date and ending date for purchase is Mar 8 with the stuff to Sig by Mar 22.

Yeah, that had me a bit confused. :?
It is certainly a nice deal. I am guessing it is in response to the Ruger rifle.
it's probably in response to the lagging sales since the hushing of the AWB threats.

ZZZZZZZ!!! thats the sound of the sleeping gun control Dems while they try to force mandatory health issurance on the rest of us completely healthy americans!
I should be picking mine up in 2-3 weeks. This is great! Maybe now I can get a 522 :D

They changed their web-page and rebate form to indicate Jan 23rd as the start date.

I purchased mine at the end of December and printed out the rebate form before they added the start date.

Waiting to see if they honor the initial offer ..
:/
I can't speak for Sig, but I would think if you are close to the 23rd, they may honor it. The original rebate said it would last 45 days ending on Mar. 8th, so that should qualify the start and end of the rebate. But, one never knows unless they try.

Customer service was pretty mean and they told me to mail it in for consideration.

Without a specified start date, 45 days only qualifies the deadline for a rebate period from the time of announcement.

Then they added the start date to their web-page and rebate form to close the pre-qualification loophole ..

Loving the Aurora sights I purchsed from Top Gun Supply, btw ..
I'm in

Will wind up paying $1100 for the 556SCM with Holosight. I think it is a good deal!
4473

I do question sending a copy of your complete 4473 in also. It has personal info such as some peoples SSN on it.

Normally 4473s are only given copies to Law Enforcement only when a traces being performed.
If I had listed my Social Security Number on the #4473, I would block it out prior to sending the form in for the rebate. This is just a privacy, security precaution. I don't think Sig needs it or would care if it was there or not.
interesting phone call

SIG called me today and said they received my rebate form. They offered me $500 in accessories instead of the money. I took the money! I need the $300 to buy bullets. Lots of bullets!
That would have been a tough turndown depending on what accessories.

There is now a form on the SIG website that can be filled out by the FFL if they do not want to provide the 4473. That's what mine did. I actually prefer to not supply the 4473.
