mplebra, can you co-witness with your BUIS? I'm thinking not and that they're just flipped up for the pic but figured I'd ask. _________________ NRA Endowment Member

The sights were raised for the photo, however...
I can sight with the irons and see through the bottom of the glass on the Eotech. I have not tried firing yet with both, but hoping I can use the iron sights if the Eotech goes out without removing it. Everything is AR height, so should be okay. |

556 Swat with Aimpoint ML2, Streamlight, Lasermax in green, Grip Pod and Magpul BUIS. Stuck a Specter 2 point sling on as well - still getting used to it compared to the Chalker 1 point. Not so sure about grip pod - probably change it back to a stubby folding grip. Just seems to big and awkward.

She is pretty badass! I must ask, however, why the KX3? Not really needed on a 556 SBR, were you going for asthetics? _________________ As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I shall fear no evil for I am the BADDEST MOTHERFUCKER IN THE GOD DAMN VALLEY! |

| The kx3 throws the excess noise and blast out front making it as calm an experience as shooting a full length 556. |

| Ass-nice rig. I like that set up. It is one of a kind. What did you do to the collar? It looks like the top was chopped off so that it can be removed with the hand guards but that you kept enough of it to keep the HG's jammed in there snug. Pretty slick idea if that is what is going on there. Oh, and what did you use to cut it? |

thanks,good eye on the collar
i just used a dremmel with a cutoff wheel to get it off and smoothed it with a stone.it holds the handguards just the same and is removeable without taking the gasblock off.so whenever my troy rail shows up it will be a quick install. |

The latest iteration-
Added bent charging handle and PVS-14 (on a USGI mount).
The YHM riser brought the Aimpoint almost perfectly in-line with the NVD. |

| Yes its a Swat that I put the new style 550 handguards on. These are the ones that Sig is now selling with the rail pieces you can put on. It is much more solid than the other Swiss style handguards and I do like the less weight in the front. The only complaint I have is that they used polymer for the rail pieces rather than aluminum but they work and are lighter than the quad rail. I still have the quad rail but yes, it does make it a little front heavy and if you don't need all that real estate. |
