The Lacquer sticks from Brownells work the best.

SIG 556 Flattop Optic-ready model (no factory irons)
- Samson Front Flip for 556
- ARMS 40L SP Rear
- EO 511.A65/1
- Smith Ent. Muzzle Break (Thanks Ullie - GREAT recommendation!)
- CAA VFG / Illum.
Still needs new furniture...lol
Taurus PT1911
- Very happy with this pistol. Must say Taurus has come a long way. I have heard of some ppl having 'lemons' (extractor issues, FTF, FTE, etc...). I have close to two thousand rounds through her and she still functions flawlessly (knock, knock). As reliable/accurate as my SA1911.

Thanks for the nice pics 1911pimp. Is that Harris Bipod the LM-S with the LaRue Tactical LT130 QD Mount? If not, which mount do you have? I'm looking for a quick disconnect with a swivel base. Thanks in advance.

My Sig 556 SWAT with a little paint. Learned to paint from some old sniper buddies of mine that I operated with. Hope you all enjoy.
I've also got a 4x magnifier with the FTS mount, but it's not in the picture. I normally only use it when I'm shooting from longer distances.
Still waiting for the new charging handle, they must be pretty high in demand, because it's been a while since I ordered it.

SkyPup- I just love seeing your pics. Nice hardware and always some great stories.
Here are my new babes. Bought the rifle in October and the pistol in December. The ammo has been purchased over the last couple of years but it seems every time I go to a gun show or store I come home with 500rds of something! As soon as I was putting the cans back in storage I found another 500rd can. That's 6000 rounds of .223 and 5.56. I've stopped buying SIGs and ammo so I can get some optics and accessories. I just did the math on this picture alone... $5k.
I think I'm going to go with a Leupold 2.5-8 or similar for the rifle and maybe the classic handguards and different Magpul stock. That will be my long range weapon while I'm turning in my Form 1 for the pistol. I'll get a folder from ACE similar to Andyb (his is fixed, tho) and probably an EOTech. The existing sight is not useable for "active" shooting.
I'm kind of confused about one thing. Why is there a bayo lug on the P556? I don't think anything will fit on that thing. Take a look at SkyPup's post above and see how far the handle and guard are apart? The distance from the lug to end of flash hider is only 3-1/2". Anyone have any input?

I have a PE57 bayo and a PE90 bayo and I can guarantee that neither one would fit onto a 556 pistol bayonet lug, way too short. I have no idea what you could do to fit one on that short stubby barrel.
Very nice set of SIG hardware BTW! Wish I could stock up on ammo like you have, it's going to take me awhile for me to acquire 5K+ of 5.56mm NATO rounds......

Colors are good! I found yet another can full of happy green tipped, soft point, and others. My bro thought I'd need them some day so he passed them on. I love the barter system! My stash is a shoe-box compared to his. BTW, he's selling his Barrett on ARFcom if anyone is interested.

Skypup- That's about $2k of bang and about $3k of trigger.
I have a buddy I talked to today that's going to the Shot Show next week in ORL. I'm hoping he comes back with some updates on new optics for me. I'm looking for a 1-4x optic with about 30mm lens. I don't like those tiny 20 or 24mm's. Aimpoint has spoiled me for tactical optics. I'll let you guys know what he finds.

Boo-hoo-hoo. Looks like I "pulled the trigger" too soon. I think I like the new classic short barrelled folder better. And I mailed off my Form 1 just 2 weeks ago. Doh!
Does this mean they're going to offer it as an SBR out the door now? Hmm.

Not to answer for GySgt, but the Hensoldt is a German scope. It's 4x and was used with the G3.
Now my question: Where did you get that mount? It's kick-ass! I'm particularly impressed at the leaf that comes up and protects the windage knob while still allowing the operator to adjust it.
Any plans to add a cheek riser? It might be the angle in the photo, but the scope looks like it's sitting pretty high above the bore.
