I'm looking for the best weight bullet for my 556 ER. I have 69 gr Sierra BTHP,75 gr HPBT Hornady and 77 gr HPBT Nosler and 75 gr Hornady AMAX. Thanks James

All the above will work just fine.

I have found that 55gr are not that great. Big difference going to 62 gr. 75 gr and 77 gr are great!

    I must have a very strange Sig556 SWAT 2009. Twist 1-7
The best rounds for me is 55 and 62grs. US Military ( Lake City)
give me the smallest groups.(about 4"100yards)
    PPU & MFS will group 6 to 8" 100yds.
    69 & 75gr won't even leave a mark on a 100 yd target.
Other then that, the rifle is great. Eats everything I give it
    with no problems.

i am getting 1.5" groups at 100 yrds with m193 55gr federal.I shoot the patrol model.I can get match sierra black hills 69gr(heaviest I go)to about 1"..ALL rounds I shoot whether it be 69gr black hills,m193, m855,PMC 5.56,hornady ballistic 55gr,all have a POI variant at 6-8" at 100, meaning i can load my mags with any of those rounds and be confident with a center mass hit at 100 yrds.your rifle should be MUCH tighter than that.Sig SANS considers a rifle passing QAQC at like 1.75-2.5 or something.Has been a while since I have looked at the factory test specs ,someone here might be able to link the test data here.ANYONE?
